Our wedding photos are online, now what?
Your wedding photos were posted online, yay! Now what? When do you get
your proofs? How do you get your wedding album done? What are the next
steps?
Once you have seen your photos online and have enjoyed reliving your
wedding day again your next step is to set a time to meet with me in person to
pick up your proof book and your digital negatives on disc. This is a two-in-one
meeting, because you will also be selecting your album cover material, color,
and the style of your album. It is important to do this in person as there are
no other steps in the process that require you coming to my office/studio. If
you are long distance (more than one hour away) your items will be mailed to you
and a phone consultation will be arranged and options will be selected over the
internet.
From there, once your album style has been selected, I will
begin the design process of your album. I CHOOSE ALL THE PHOTOS and do the
ENTIRE ALBUM LAYOUT/DESIGN. Remember, I was a graphic designer for 6 years, so
have faith! Once I have everything completed I will post it all online for your
review. And finally, once you have made edits (if any) to the album it will take
anywhere from 2 to 4 months for your album to be completed. Four months is not
normal, but I do quote that for reasons that may end up beyond my
control.
Please read up on "Album Design Approval and Editing" here
on the StudioBlog to see how the album edits should be submitted to
me.
Enjoy your photos!
